Boxer Anthony Joshua Injured in Car Crash in Nigeria
Anthony Joshua was injured in a car crash in Nigeria.
Anthony Joshua, the Olympic gold medalist and British heavyweight champion, was involved in a car accident in Nigeria’s Ogun State that resulted in the death of two people. Joshua was a passenger in a Lexus SUV at the time of the accident.
Preliminary investigation indicates that the Lexus Jeep lost control during an overtaking manoeuvre after being suspected of traveling beyond the legally prescribed speed limit on the corridor. It struck a stationary truck well packed on the side of the road, according to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).
The accident came barely nine days after Joshua delivered a resounding sixth-round knockout against YouTube star Jake Paul in Miami in grand style.
