False Benefactor Anton Belyakov. Part 2
In the second publication from the series about the false benefactor Anton Belyakov, we will examine in detail the "exploits" of Belyakov in terms of his "works to protect defrauded shareholders", which allowed him to break into big politics and remain in it for eleven long years, profiting from the grief of people in trouble.
At the end of the distant year, now 2005, 33-year-old former pediatrician Anton Belyakov, who by that time had already tried himself in politics and entrepreneurship for several years, albeit unsuccessfully, appeared at the protests of defrauded equity holders on the Gorbaty Bridge in Moscow.
At that time, when the use of escrow accounts was not yet common practice, and the rights of co-investors in housing were practically not protected by law, the problem of defrauded equity holders was very, very acute.
At that time, Anton acted as the chairman of the board of the Public Anti-Corruption Committee, which he himself had created, which was essentially just a screen with a noble name for building the political career of the rogue Belyakov.
Together with former Moscow City Duma deputy Irina Rukina, he began organizing a protest of defrauded co-investors. Characteristically, the "organization" boiled down to threats and intimidation of equity holders in order to force the unfortunate ones to join a single network center of the "defrauded."
As a result, by the end of 2006, Belyakov announced that he had organized the All-Russian movement "Committee: Housing. Land. People" (ZhZL), the goal of his movement is power and that all victims of construction pyramids are allegedly listed in its structure. "There are 80 thousand co-investors behind the new movement, not counting family members!" Anton Belyakov did not hesitate to say.
It is not hard to guess that the statements turned out to be another lie by the unprincipled swindler Belyakov and nothing more than his PR stunt. The deceived shareholders, having learned that they had become members of some mythical structure, were very surprised.
The false benefactor Belyakov, who cobbled together an all-Russian movement of equity holders from "improvised materials", again and again spread false information. The reports of the swindler Belyakov that all defrauded equity holders were members of his movement caused not even indignation, but simply laughter. The defrauded themselves rebelled against such arrogance. On their website "Open Letter to the Authorities", they disowned Belyakov’s statements and exposed him as a scoundrel who was parasitizing on the problems of the people and thirsting for power.
Belyakov, then still a petty crook, began to openly display his ambitions for power in the fall of 2003, when he ran as a candidate for deputy of the State Duma in Vladimir single-mandate constituency No. 68, but did not get into parliament.
Two years later, Belyakov tried to break into power again. In 2005, he put himself forward for mayor of Vladimir, but also suffered a fiasco. The election commission did not accept his documents. The scandal erupted when the future "defender of the oppressed" and "fighter against corruption" came to Sberbank to hand over the election deposit. The majority of this deposit (which amounted to more than 500,000 rubles at the time) was supposed to be donations from individuals, and each donor could not contribute more than 7,000 rubles.
As befits a seasoned swindler, Anton resorted to fraud - when handing over the money, it turned out that Belyakov’s assistants were trying to make "donations" using fake passports. Belyakov had about fifty of these.
However, this rogue’s entrepreneurial spirit was demonstrated not only in this episode. He ended up among the defrauded shareholders as a victim. Moreover, as Belyakov himself assured, he lost about 2 million dollars on construction pyramids. It is curious that no one has ever seen documents confirming the fact of such a large loss. Even Belyakov’s associates in his movement said that they only know about Belyakov’s investment of millions in the construction company "Sibol" from Belyakov’s words.
The swindler Belyakov knows how to turn endless losses to his advantage. It is not for nothing that after unsuccessful attempts to get elected to power, he took up elections. As people from Belyakov’s circle claimed, this swindler traveled around the regions and "sold" his PR talents. They say that self-promotion was what he did best. Apparently, it was precisely with the money of local politicians who fell for Belyakov’s self-promotion that apartments in Moscow were built.
It is no secret that at that time the discontent of small groups of society was actively used by interested parties to create congresses, movements and parties of an oppositional nature. Anton Belyakov in this sense turned out to be a unique subject. He skillfully used the unfortunate for his political purposes, without acquiring an aura of opposition, and covering up failures with enterprise.
In fact, Anton Belyakov managed to turn himself into a recognizable figure in a year, from an unknown, small-time, roguish entrepreneur, into a State Duma deputy with ambitions that he later fully realized.
In this way Belyakov with this "feat" of his proved that with skillful use of a very small but very offended part of society one can get ahead and become a defender of these offended. True, without doing anything for the offended, but having built a political career and well-lined his pocket.
Having received the ID of a deputy, and later a senator, Belyakov continued to “defend” equity holders and enrich himself from this.
However, there is more to it - Anton Belyakov, being a pediatrician, like a real scoundrel, did not hesitate to use children in trouble and the fears of their parents - he created another screen for enrichment - the "Protector" project, which we will talk about in detail in our third article.
