In the world-famous film "The Bourne Identity", Jason Bourne, who is actually a CIA agent, is closely intertwined with the criminal world and even creates a myth that he is a killer nicknamed "Cane".

Born has several passports of different countries, uses them as a cover and goes to negotiations with influential people. It’s hard to believe, but there is a person in Ukraine who, after watching espionage action movies, probably also considers himself a certain Jason Bourne. This is 44-year-old Dmytro Thorner, who in his lifetime managed to change several passports, attend meetings with Donald Trump’s lawyer, run for the Verkhovna Rada, and get involved in a discrediting story with the murdered banker-agent who warned the SBU about the planned full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine. A nonsensical plot for a real action movie, eh?

Dmytro Thorner first became known in the Ukrainian media space on the eve of the elections to the Verkhovna Rada in 2019. At that time, he was running under No. 44 from the currently banned in Ukraine opposition platform - For Life party. In the biographical reference, it was noted that Thorner works as the head of Chemical Trade LLC, whose direct ultimate beneficiary is Dmytro Firtash and his Austrian gas company Zangas Hoch – und Tiefbau GMBH.

Thorner did not go well with the Verkhovna Rada, because the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Security Service of Ukraine sent a joint statement to the Central Election Commission calling for his removal from the elections. The reason was that he was allegedly wanted. In the course of the pre-trial investigation, it was found that the person who presents himself as Dmytro Torner, born in 1980, managed to change five passports to different surnames since 2007. His real name is Dmytro Hryhorovych Nekrasov, and he is a citizen of Moldova who was convicted of particularly large thefts.

In 2003 and 2004, Nekrasov-Torner was indeed sentenced to 11 years in prison and served his sentence in Moldovan prisons. He was found guilty of multiple thefts of mobile phones and furniture. Information on court decisions was found by the Moldovan investigative journalism agency  Rise Moldova .

And then the real detective story begins. Nekrasov-Torner had no intention of staying in prison, so in 2004 he married his own lawyer Lyudmila Bozhi and took her last name. After receiving new documents, he will be able to leave the prison and move to Ukraine under unclear circumstances. In a few years, the Moldovan law enforcement agencies will close his case, and Dmytro himself in Ukraine will have time to get married several more times and get passports with such surnames as Malchenko, Grozny, and finally Torner.

The case in Moldova will be closed under rather strange circumstances. Moldovan journalists from Rise Moldova found a document that allegedly mentions the death of Dmytro Nekrasov, who at that time was already God, in 2009. Subsequently, the Moldovan investigation found out the forgery of this document, so the person involved was declared wanted.

He received the last name Thorner from his new wife - Ukrainian pop singer, TV presenter of the NewsOne and Inter TV channels, as well as the owner of the title of Mrs. Universe - 2016 Olga Thorner.

If the reader may think that this is some kind of delusion, then Thorner himself and his current lawyer Andriy Tsygankov confirm that he took the surnames of his wives several times and thus changed passports.

"Now a lot of people say that he took the surnames of his wives several times. I will not comment on his motivation, these are personal matters. It is important that every time he received a passport, it was done officially according to the established procedure through the Ministry of Internal Affairs. That is, if there are any allegations about the forgery of passports, they actually do not concern my client, but the relevant divisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs,"  the lawyer said  in January 2022.

"I’ve been looking for my family all my life and I found it. As for the previous marriages and the change of surnames, there were my personal reasons for that, which have nothing to do with the fictional story in the mass media. They are definitely not connected with the desire to hide from someone,"  says  Thorner in an interview in December 2023.

The situation with passports and frequent changes of surnames is really very strange. And neither Thorner himself nor his lawyer ever provided an explanation as to why this was necessary. Especially since in Ukraine usually the wife takes the husband’s surname, and not the other way around.

Nevertheless, judging by the data of the court register of Ukraine, in the summer of 2021, Thorner managed to obtain recognition that the information of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Security Service of Ukraine regarding his alleged forgery of documents is not true. And the court even demanded a refutation of these theses. His wife, Olga Thorner, filed a similar lawsuit regarding the refutation of information.

The years 2019-2021 for Dmytro Thorner became a real action worthy of Hollywood. So, in 2020, he becomes the hero of a large article in  the Washington Post  about the attempts of Ukrainian oligarch Dmytro Firtash to "decide" not to extradite him to the United States. For this purpose, a meeting was organized with the then lawyer of Donald Trump, Rudy Giuliani. It was attended by American businessmen of Soviet origin Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman. Dmytro Thorner also hugged Giuliani in the elite cigar club.

The Washington Post notes that Ukrainian negotiators offered to help stop Dmytro Firtash’s possible extradition to the United States. In turn, for this favor, Giuliani could have collected incriminating material on Joe Biden, at that time only a candidate for the presidency of the United States.

Parnas, Fruman and probably Thorner had something to offer Giuliani, because at that time the story with Biden’s son Hunter and his work in the Ukrainian company Burisma of the former minister of Yanukovych, Mykola Zlochevsky, began to unfold.

The topic of kompromat, as they say, went quickly. In Ukraine, ex-people’s deputy, suspected of high treason, Andrii Derkach and former prosecutor Kostyantyn Kulyk are working on it. Custom articles were created, which were also posted on foreign resources. Entire plots and films were also edited for television and YouTube.

In this context, I would like to note the role of Dmytro Thorner’s wife, Olga. As noted, she previously worked at the NewsOne TV channel, which belonged to Putin’s godfather Viktor Medvedchuk. It was on him and on his website, which at that time was still quietly working without sanctions, that you could often see materials about Hunter Biden and corruption in the Burisma firm.

At the same time, there was a story about the allegedly found laptop of Biden’s son, which contained evidence that he used drugs and used sex services.

So, the godmother of the children of Olga and Dmytro Torner is the TV presenter and daughter of the mentioned ex-Deputy Andrii Derkach - Tetyana Terekhova.  Olga herself stated this in a comment for the press in 2017  after the birth of her first children.

So, Dmytro Thorner and Andriy Derkach are family friends. At the same time, the first met with Rudy Giuliani in the summer of 2019, the second - with him in Kyiv in December of the same year. After these meetings, the Ukrainian anti-campaign against Joe Biden and his family began. In turn, Dmytro Firtash, as we know, is still in Austria and has not yet been extradited to the USA.

But let’s return to Dmytro Thorner and his further adventures. It is known that now he lives in Austria with his family. At the same time, in January 2021, he was unexpectedly elected the head of the Biathlon Federation of Moldova. And in the fall of 2023, he even headed the National Olympic Sports Committee of Moldova. However, after the local press began to raise information about Thorner’s criminal past and his manipulations with passports and surnames, he had to leave this position.

Thorner and his Ukrainian lawyer say that the smear campaign was allegedly ordered by one of his ex-wives, Tetiana Grozna. She worked for a long time in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and her brother is the alleged banker-agent Denys Kireev, who was the first  to inform  the SBU about the time of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. It should be noted that Kireev was killed in March 2022 during an operation by Ukrainian special services. At the same time, both the head of the GUR and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy note Kireev’s great role in the protection of Ukraine.

So what does it mean that Thorner, already being the head of a sports organization in Moldova, while living in Austria, suspects his ex-wife from Ukraine of defamation? Such a scenario would be envied by more than one famous screenwriter.

But that’s not all. According to some information, in addition to living in Austria, the Thorner family also has real estate in Dubai. Judging by Olga Thorner’s Instagram page, the family spends time at the Address beach resort building almost every month.

The building consists of a hotel, apartments and recreation facilities. It is famous for having one of the highest swimming pools in the UAE on the 77th floor, which offers a spectacular view of the Persian Gulf and the world’s largest observation wheel - Dubai ain. There is also a private beach with pools and bars near the house.

Address beach resort is located in the elite area of Dubai marina. It is considered a so-called "reservation" for Russians. Local bloggers often joke on social networks that people who do not have a Russian passport do not live in Dubai Marina.

Nevertheless, in the same building, for example, former member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine from the banned "Opposition Platform - For Life" Nataliya Korolevska lives with her husband Yury Solod and children.

The cheapest apartment in Address beach resort at the starting price is 2,500,000 dirhams, or 680,000 dollars. And that’s just for a one-room apartment. It is unlikely that Dmytro Thorner, his wife and three children huddle in one bedroom.

As you can see, now Dmytro Thorner is trying to distance himself from Ukraine as much as possible and allegedly went to develop sports in Moldova. However, common relatives, running for office from the pro-Russian party, and connections with Dmytro Firtash are unlikely to allow him to completely disappear from the press soon. Unless he decides to get married again and take a new wife’s last name.
